    I have been lucky to be trained by some of the best leaders in business, and some not so great. That gave me perspective over differing leadership practices that drive organizational effectiveness.

    Ultimately, I learned that some of the most powerful traits of a leader and of the culture they promote are quite trivial, but are often taken for granted or avoided in most organizations.

    I made it my mission to help organizations do the simple and powerful things to create great teams, and ultimately escape from becoming Kingdoms of Mediocrity and move towards becoming Flywheels of Excellence.

  • Seasoned executive with over 26 years of experience leading large-scale transformations, turnarounds, integrations, and entrepreneurial ventures across multiple industries and geographies. He has held senior leadership positions including CEO, CFO, Chief Transformation Officer, Global VP of FP&A, and Global VP of Procurement Operations, with a track record of delivering sustained value creation in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. 

    He has developed and implemented a proprietary value-generation playbook—a disciplined managerial and leadership framework that has consistently driven superior business performance and shareholder returns, independent of sector, market, or culture. 

    In Asset Management and M&A advisory, he has executed numerous investments in Latin American companies since the inception of the region’s private equity industry in the 1990s, and advised on over US$40 billion in mergers and acquisitions at J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, and Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital in São Paulo and New York. 

    In 2009, he joined AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, where he held global roles in New York and Leuven (Belgium) and served as CFO of Labatt Breweries in Canada. At AB InBev, he led several major transformations—including the global redesign of the procurement organization and the integration of the US$100 billion merger with SABMiller in 2017. 

    Subsequently, representing Middle Eastern investors Mohamed Alabbar and ADQ, he spearheaded the strategic transformation of Americana Foods (a US$3 billion regional F&B leader) and Agthia Group (a US$4 billion consumer-goods corporation based in Abu Dhabi). Both organizations achieved significant growth acceleration and profitability improvement under his leadership. 

    Most recently, he has led the Private Equity division of Galapagos Capital, a São Paulo-based investment platform with US$5 billion in AUM, where he oversaw investments in the road-concession, electronic-security, and shipbuilding sectors. 

    His academic foundation in mechanical engineering, finance, economics, and business administration underpins a rigorous approach to general management, analytics, and problem solving—combined with the creativity and entrepreneurial vision needed to build high-performing organizations.
